O delegatie de la OMPI evalueaza premizele pentru initierea proiectului noii Strategii nationale de PI

In perioada 19-21 octombrie curent o delegatie de la Organizatia Mondiala de Proprietate Intelectuala (OMPI), din care fac parte Biserka Strel, sef Sectie pentru tarile Europei Centrale, Baltice si Mediteraniene, Directia pentru cooperare cu unele state din Europa si Asia, Francesca Toso, Manager de proiect, Sectorul Dezvoltare, dl Ron Marchant, Consilier, efectueaza o vizita de documentare in Republica Moldova, inclusiv la AGEPI, in cadrul proiectului de elaborare a noii Strategii nationale de proprietate intelectuala a Republicii Moldova.

In legatura cu expirarea, in anul 2010, a termenului de actiune al Strategiei de dezvoltare a sistemului national de protectie si utilizare a obiectelor de proprietate intelectuala pana in anul 2010, aprobata prin Hotararea Guvernului Republicii Moldova nr.1143 din 18.09.2003, a aparut necesitatea elaborarii unei noi Strategii nationale de proprietate intelectuala. Unul din argumentele primordiale privind elaborarea noii Strategii are la baza finalizarea procesului de armonizare a legislatiei nationale in domeniul PI cu acquis-ul comunitar in domeniu si necesitatea aplicarii in practica a prevederilor acesteia, inclusiv a prevenirii incalcarii drepturilor de PI, luptei cu contrafacerea si pirateria, respectarii drepturilor, stoparii importului si comercializarii produselor contrafacute pe teritoriul Republicii Moldova etc.

Programul vizitei prevede intalniri ale delegatiei OMPI cu reprezentantii subdiviziunilor AGEPI, cu Grupul de experti pentru elaborarea Strategiei nationale de PI al Comisiei Nationale de PI, cu reprezentantii institutiilor guvernamentale si organizatiilor non-guvernamentale antrenate in elaborarea Strategiei nationale de PI (Ministerul Economiei, Ministerul Justitiei, Serviciul Vamal, AITT, Camera de Comert si Industrie s.a.).

In procesul de elaborare a proiectului Strategiei nationale de PI se va tine cont de documentele de politici, aprobate de Guvernul Republicii Moldova, inclusiv de Programul de activitate al Guvernului „Integrare europeana: Libertate, Democratie, Bunastare” pentru perioada 2009-2013, precum si de Recomandarile OMPI privind elaborarea strategiilor nationale de PI.

    The new EU trade mark Regulation enters into force on March 23rd. As a result, the Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market (OHIM) will change its name to the European Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).

    The amending Regulation also revises the fees payable to the Office, including an overall reduction in their amounts, particularly in the case of trade mark renewal fees. On 23.3. 2016, the Office’s online application forms and fee calculator will be automatically updated to reflect the new system.
    From its base in Alicante, Spain, OHIM has processed more than 1.3 million Community trade mark applications in 23 EU languages, from nearly every country and region in the world, since 1996.

    The Amending Regulation was published on 24 December 2015 and is part of the EU trade mark reform legislative package that also includes the replacement of the existing EU Trade Mark Directive (Directive 2008/95/EC of the European Parliament and the Council).

    OHIM is the EU’s largest decentralised agency. It is entirely self-financed, receiving no funding from the EU Budget. As well as managing the Community trade mark and the registered Community design (RCD), it works in collaboration with the EU national and regional IP offices to build a stronger IP system across the EU for the benefit of users.
