Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan joined the international community in celebrating the World Intellectual Property Day on 26th April, 2014. The theme of the year 2014 for World IP Day was “Movies A Global Passion”. In connection with World Intellectual Property (IP) Day, IPO-Pakistan organized a national Seminar at Islamabad Club, Islamabad on 24th April, 2014. The chief guest of the ceremony was Dr. Nazir Saeed, Secretary Information, Broadcasting and National Heritage. Mr. Aamir Hasan, Director General, IPO-Pakistan was the chief organizer of this Seminar. Legendary personalities from Film and Music Industry, Syed Noor, Director/Writer; Ms. Sangeeta, Film-star/producer; Mr. Ejaz Gul, Film Analyst; Mr. Haroon Rashid, singer and representatives from Electronic and Print Media graced the occasion with their presence and gave valuable inputs.
Anti-Counterfeit and Infringement Forum (ACIF); Oxford University Press (OUP) and EMI-Pakistan collaborated with IPO-Pakistan to organize this seminar.
