European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights has written this guide to provide basic assistance to intellectual property (IP) right holders and theirs advisers, on the protection and enforcement systems in the Russian Federation.
The guide is intended to provide simple guidelines on how right holders can protect their IP assets and what to do if their rights are infringed. The World Investment Report 2012 conducted by UNCTAD reports that in 2011 the Russian Federartion continued to account for the lion’s share of inward Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) to the region and saw FDI flows grow to the third higher level ever.
