In May, CLDP held consultations on intellectual property enforcement matter designed for 7 judges from general jurisdiction and appeals courts in Armenia and an official from the Justice Academy of Armenia. CLDP informs also about a meeting with USPTO, the Federal Judicial Center, and United States District Courts. There were reviewed points of case law on patent and copyright infringement, calculation of damages, judicial case management, judicial education, collective copyright management, electronic evidence, and unfair competition.
CLDP reminds that these Consultations are a part of the 2014 series of trainings on IPR enforcement issues for Armenia. CLDP’s priority objective seems to be the appropriate IPR enforcement and improvement in Armenia by creating of well prepared and well trained judges so that the judicial system could function efficiently and justly.
