On 11.01.2009 – two and a half years after its launch, the three millionth .eu domain name was registered by a German citizen.
At present the .eu „top-level Internet domain“ is the forth most popular top level domain name in Europe and the ninth worldwide.
30 % freom the registrations come form Germany, 14% from the Netherlands, 12% from United Kingdon. 8% from France and 6 % from Poland.
