The “Management of IP Rights in the Advertising Industry” workshop was organized jointly by the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Intellectual Property Office of the Republic of Serbia. It came as an important event due to Serbia’s large number of advertising agencies and artists.
The workshop was intended for the representatives of organizations from the “creative branches” and their getting to know the possibilities offered by the intellectual property protection. The topics at the workshop included: role and challenges of the advertising industry in the global creative economy, situation in the advertising industry in Serbia, identifying intellectual property rights in the advertising industry, case studies of the implementation of IP rights in advertising, evaluation of IP rights in advertising and challenges of IP rights with on-line advertising.
