In The 2014 Special 301 Report USTR announced that in August 2013 were published key amendments to China’s Trademark Law as: provisions to combat “trademark squatting”, expanding protection to sound marks, permission of multi-class registration, and streamline application and appeal procedures. However, The United States is still expecting from China more legislative reforms in order to be removed from the Priority Watch List. China will have the support of The United States to improve its intellectual property protection system.
