OHIM´s new website will be a new online look and feel for the Office. The site has been developed in collaboration with users, who have tested its functionalities and provided valuable feedback through the development process.
Over the past months, testing and development on the website have reached a peak. The site now includes several new functionalities which will make the filing process more user-friendly.
Until the new site goes live on December 2, all e-business will continue to be carried out through the existing website. Communication with users (for example, Decisions of the President) will continue to be disseminated through the current site.
The changes of practice are described in the Manual of Trade Mark Practice, which, among others, implements the Common Communication on the Common Practice on the General Indications of the Nice Class Headings, published on 20 November 2013; these changes will enter into force on the date of the go-live of the new website. Until then, the current practice will continue to prevail.
The go-live of the website will be accompanied by a targeted user campaign. OHIM’s e-business Help Desk teams are standing by to answer user queries during the transition period from the old to the new website, to ensure that new and existing users have all the support and information they need. Meanwhile, all the available information and learning resources on the new website have been gathered together in one single space, for ease of access.
On the 27th of November, at 14h00 CET, OHIM will host a webinar on the new e-filing functionality of the website, aimed at new and existing users.
