On 31 October, 2013, OHIM in close collaboration with the European Personnel Selection Office published two competitions – one for selecting assistants and one for selecting administrators.
The workforce planning of OHIM approved by the Administrative Board and Budget Committee aims to recruit 66 officials in the field of Intellectual Property over the period 2014-2017.
- A list of 40 administrators (Grade AD 6 in the European Union civil service career scheme).
The officials recruited will take part in activities relating to the protection of Community trade marks (CTM) and registered Community designs (RCD).
They may also be required to contribute to cooperation and harmonisation measures with the national intellectual property offices in the European Union and to work with the main intellectual property offices outside the EU and with international counterparts and partners.Within the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, they may be involved in work to facilitate and support the activities of national authorities, the private sector, and the European Union institutions in the fight against infringements of intellectual property rights.
- A list of 60 assistants (Grade AST 3 in the European Union civil service career scheme).
The officials recruited will provide assistant support to activities relating to the protection of Community trade marks (CTM) and registered Community designs (RCD).
They may also be required to contribute to cooperation and harmonisation with the national intellectual property offices in the European Union and to work with the main intellectual property offices outside the EU and with international counterparts and partners.Within the European Observatory on Infringements of Intellectual Property Rights, they may be involved in work to facilitate and support the activities of national authorities, the private sector, and the Union institutions in the fight against infringements of intellectual property rights.
