“Trademarks – oppositions” examines in depth the procedures of opposition in trademark registration in Bulgaria and in the European Community (Community trademarks). The opposition procedure is an essential part of the whole procedure of trademark registration. Four years after the introduction of the opposition system this book systematizes the practice and analyzes the differences between the Bulgarian and European registration systems.
The authors are prominent Bulgarian industrial property representatives with extensive experience in trademark registration and participation in many European oppositions before OHIM (Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market – registrar of Community trademarks), including procedures before the European Court and great experience in opposition procedures for registration of Bulgarian trademarks. Interesting examples of the professional practice of the authors and their work in ipconsulting.eu are also presented in the book.
