In the period June 28-30, 2013, in the spa Vrnjacka Banja, a Mini Business Summit was held in the organization of Etno Center Gegula, under the auspices of the town of Kraljevo, Regional Chamber of Commerce Kraljevo and the Municipality of Vrnjacka Banja. On the first day of the summit, a lecture was held on the intellectual property with the emphasis on the protection of products by indications of geographical origin.
The lecture was intended for the representatives of the Association of Business Women Nadezda Petrovic from Cacak, Association of Business Women “EVE” from Valjevo and Association of Women Entrepreneurs from Kraljevo and the representatives of SMEs as well as business consultants. The representative of the Education and Information Center of the IPO, answered the questions after the lecture and the majority referred to the specific aspects of the protection of products by the indication of geographical origin, acquisition of the status of the authorized user of the GIO, the difference between trademark and industrial design as well as the infringement of IP rights. The business community expressed great interest in the IP rights and their utilization in doing business as was obvious from a great number of questions and new invitations for new seminars in this field of work.
Bearing in mind that the organizer of this summit was the business company that took advantage of the service IP diagnosis – Helga Gegula from Kraljevo, this service of the IPO was presented at the seminar.
