The Special 301 Report for 2014 issued Italy’s removal from the Watch List as a result of accepting the Italian Communications Regulatory Authority’s (AGCOM) in 2013. The regulations were adopted to fight internet piracy by effective and adequate mechanisms. This is considered as a major achievement for Italy in Intellectual property rights protection and enforcement, due to many years of efforts. The United States will also surveil the appropriate implementation of the regulations and continue to work with Italy.
