As of 6 April 2020, IP Australia has made its trade mark data available to the TMview search tool. TMview is an online consultation tool allowing any Internet user to search for, free of charge, the trade marks of all trade mark offices involved in the initiative.
With the addition of more than 1.6 million Australian trade marks, TMView provides information and access to a total of over 59 million trade marks from around the world. Since its launch ten years ago, TMView has served more than 70 million searches from 169 different countries. Spain, China and Germany are among the most frequent users.
The integration of IP Australia is a concrete result of the International Cooperation programme managed by EUIPO in collaboration with its international partners. Joining TMView gives Australian businesses another avenue for exposure to the global marketplace.
