The Intellectual Property Office of Singapore (IPOS), in its capacity as receiving Office, has notified the International Bureau (IB) under PCT Rule 89bis.1(d) that, with effect from 1 January 2015, it is prepared to receive and process international applications in electronic form. The Office accepts international applications filed using the ePCT-Filing function in the ePCT Portal.
Furthermore, the Office has notified the IB that it will no longer accept international patent applications with requests in PCT-EASY format with effect from 1 June 2015.
The notification containing the requirements and practices of the Office with regard to the filing of international applications in electronic form will be published in the Official Notices (PCT Gazette) on 15 January 2015.
