The EUIPO, together with the Intellectual Property Offices in the EU Member States, has developed a new series of training material and tailor-made tutorials as part of the ‘ECP3 Academy Learning Portal’ cooperation project.
The initiative, which is part of the EUIPO’s European Cooperation projects, aims to support the acquisition, retention and expansion of intellectual property (IP) knowledge among all partner offices of the European Union Intellectual Property Network (EUIPN).
The Academy Learning Portal now offers seven new e-learning modules on the European Cooperation projects, on general competencies such as programme management and information technology, and 23 new tutorials on the TMclass tool. All tutorials have been produced in close cooperation with the Intellectual Property Offices and User Associations.
The catalogue will soon be completed with two modules on how to protect trade marks and designs across the EU, which will consist of a set of tutorials providing guidance on trade mark and design practices within each EU Member State. Cooperation with the EU Intellectual Property Offices will be continued with a series of tutorials on the transposition of the trade mark Directive into national law in the EU Member States.
