From September 28 to 30 the President and the Secretary General of CIOPORA attended the Proflora, one of the world´s largest cut-flower exhibitions. During the inauguration ceremony, attended by ca. 400 people, the President of ASOCOFLORES, Augusto Solano, expressly welcomed the CIOPORA delegation making emphasis on the importance of breeders for the floricultural sector.
Additionally, CIOPORA seized the opportunity to introduce the Vice- Secretary General of UPOV, Peter Button, to the world of flowers by visiting the booths of several CIOPORA members at the Proflora.
In the mornings of two days of the show, two Colombian member-companies of CIOPORA, SB Tallee and Propagar Plantas (now Rodolfo La Rota S.A.S) were visited.
