A delegation of six staff members from China’s Supreme People’s Procuratorate (SPP) is currently undertaking a study visit in Europe to discuss criminal enforcement of IP rights with a range of European counterparts. Last Friday, they visited the Office for a meeting with representatives of the Observatory, DG HOME, Europol, and the Spanish Police. This visit is organised by IP Key, an Action co-funded by the European Commission and OHIM. IP Key is implemented by OHIM in partnership with the EPO.
The delegation’s first stop was Paris, where, with the kind support of INPI, they met with French Police, CEIPI, UNIFAB and different industry stakeholders; French Customs, HADOPI, Cyberdouane, French Prosecutor Office, EFPIA, and CNAC. After Alicante, they are continuing to Italy for further meetings with the Ministry of Economic Development (Anti-Counterfeiting Department), prosecutors, judges, Centro Studi Anticontraffazione (Anti-Counterfeiting Centre), Guardia di Finanza, Italian Customs, criminal lawyers, and industry associations.
