As from January 1, 2019, the amounts of the individual fee payable in respect of Benelux will change.
Those amounts will be:
- 266 Swiss francs for the first class of goods or services, 29 Swiss francs for the second class, and 89 Swiss francs for each additional class, when designating Benelux in an international application or subsequently. Where the mark is a collective or certification mark, the fee will be 413 Swiss francs for the first class of goods or services, 46 Swiss francs for the second class, and 139 Swiss francs for each additional class;
- 287 Swiss francs for the first class of goods or services, 32 Swiss francs for the second class, and 97 Swiss francs for each additional class, when renewing an international registration in which Benelux has been designated. Where the mark is a collective or certification mark, the fee will be 524 Swiss francs for the first class of goods or services, 59 Swiss francs for the second class, and 177 Swiss francs for each additional class.
These amounts will be payable where Benelux
(a) is designated in an international application which is received by the Office of origin on or after that date; or
(b) is the subject of a subsequent designation which is received by the Office of the Contracting Party of the holder on or after that date, or is filed directly with the International Bureau of WIPO on or after that date; or
(c) has been designated in an international registration which is renewed on or after that date.
