Digital Patent Library is on the focus

On 12th of May of 2014 the representatives of the State Enterprise “Ukrainian Institute of Industrial Property” (SE “UIIP”) had a working meeting with the Resident Twinning Adviser of EU Twinning Project “Strengthening the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Ukraine” (Project) Mr. Pablo Rodenas and representatives of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office, namely head of Search Service Mr. Alberto Ynzenga and Head of Documentation and Search Mrs. Blanca Vila.
During the meeting the development of a Digital Patent Library (one of the Project’s Component subjects) was discussed.
Mr. Pablo Rodenas who will coordinate missions of Spanish and Danish experts has outlined the main directions of European experts work within the Project, particularly on DPL issues. He has mentioned that during the first visit experts of the mentioned countries together with Ukrainian experts will carry out the analysis of current DPL, will prepare its description and will compare it with the best European analogues. On the basis of conducted analysis the recommendations for current system improvement will be prepared and presented by European experts during the next visit. Besides, within these objectives implementation European experts will provide assistance and support in these recommendation implementation.
Reference. In April of 2014 the implementation of EU Twinning Project “Strengthening the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights in Ukraine” has commenced in Ukraine. The consortium of the Spanish Patent and Trademark Office and the Danish Patent and Trademark Office was selected to implement the Project. Mr. Pablo Rodenas has arrived to Ukraine on 7th of April of 2014 and will work in our country during the whole Project implementation period.
