Our client, POLIN SU PARKLARI VE HAVUZ SİSTEMLERI ANONIM SIRKETI, a Turkish company and the original owner of the trademark “Polin stylized in color”, International Registration No. 1061615 dated 14 May 2010 in class 28 in many countries.
It came to their attention that an application for Polin under No. 194155 was filed on 9 January 2013 in classes 28, 37, and 41 by alocal applicant RUE IBN KATIR RESIDENCE AL MAWLID IMMEUBLE.
Acting on behalf of our client, we filed an opposition against class 28 based on prior registrations. Accordingly, the Trademark Office has ruled in our favour and cancelled class 28; no appeal was raised by the defendant so the decision became final.
