In the next few weeks, a brand new Trade-marks e-Filing system will be launched. In order to ensure a smooth transition to the new system, please be aware of the following two activities.
Registering an Industry Canada Profile
As a first-time user of the new e-service, the system will request that you set up an online profile by confirming your Industry Canada (Strategis) Client Information. You need to perform this step only once.
We recommend that you update your account information as soon as possible prior to the launch of the new system by visiting the IC Registration webpage. Remember not to share your unique Industry Canada username with others within your firm. You will not be able to open more than one session concurrently using the same username.
Making payments using your CIPO Deposit Account
In order to use your CIPO Deposit Account with the new system, you must first contact the Canadian Intellectual Property Office (CIPO) Finance Directorate in writing to grant access to your deposit accounts to authorized Industry Canada User(s) in your firm. Please include the name of your firm, deposit account number(s), and the Industry Canada Username(s), and send your request as soon as possible to the CIPO Finance Directorate in one of the following ways.
