Currently Rospatent has number of agreements with the regional administrative structures on the basis of which further development is expected.
Rospatent has agreements with the administrations (governments) of 36 regions of the Russian Federation : Moscow, St. Petersburg, Amur, Arkhangelsk , Astrakhan, Belgorod , Bryansk, Volgograd , Kaliningrad, Kaluga, Kirov, Kostroma, Lipetsk, Magadan , Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk , Orlovsk, Samara, Sakhalin, Sverdlovsk, Tver, Tomsk , Tula, Tyumen and Ulyanovsk regions, Udmurt Republic, Chuvash Republic, the Republic of Bashkortostan, the Republic of Karelia, Republic of Mordovia , Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), the Republic of North Ossetia – Alania, Republic of Tatarstan , and also Altai Territory , Stavropol Territory and Khabarovsk Territory. Furthermore, Rospatent concluded a cooperation agreement with an Authorized Representative of the Russian President in the Privolzhsky Federal District.
The main areas of cooperation are determined in the Agreements:
– Creation of enabling legal and institutional conditions increasing the inventive and innovative activity of the economic entities in the region;
– Increasing the efficiency of implementation of federal, regional and department targeted programs and projects for the development of science and technology, as well as programs of intellectual property commercialization.
In the agreements are also written the obligations of the parties with respect to the interaction in the above areas of cooperation, determination, if necessary, of authorized organizations for the practical implementation of the obligations of the parties, mainly through the conclusion and implementation of contracts between FIPS and supporting organizations.
