ACCESSION OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC TO THE 1991 ACT OF THE INTERNATIONAL CONVENTION FOR THE

Geneva, May 12, 2009

The Government of the Slovak Republic deposited its instrument of accession to the 1991 Act of the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants on May 12, 2009.

The purpose of UPOV is to provide and promote an effective system of plant variety protection, with the aim of encouraging the development of new varieties of plants, for the benefit of society.

The 1991 Act will enter into force on June 12, 2009
