The theme of the conference is “Protection of Intellectual Property in Europe”, and speakers include the Director General of the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO), Francis Gurry, OHIM President António Campinos and BenoîtBattistelli, the President of the European Patent Office (EPO).

The Czech Industrial Property Office began life in May 1919, with the establishment of the national patent office in Prague.
