On June 28-29, 2013, the 37th meeting of Asia-Pascific Economic Cooperation (APEC) Intellectual Property Rights Experts’ Group (IPEG) took place within the 3rd Senior Officials Meeting and related meetings in Medan, Indonesia.
Representatives of Rospatent and Russian APEC Study Center took part in the meeting.
Information of APEC Secretariat on APEC current activities, including projects, were presented during the meeting.
IPEG members exchanged the information on current amendments to national legislation of APEC economies and discussed certain aspects of IP protection, use and enforcement.
The representative of Rospatent presented Concept Note “Promoting Effective Utilization of IPRs through the Concept of Open Innovations”. The project aims at exchange information and experience among APEC economies.

The next 38th IPEG meeting will be held in 2014 in China.
